How do we overcome feelings of anxiety and depression? I realized that I when I would feel this way, I was not focusing on what was happening in the present moment. I was worrying and thinking about the future. I was able to overcome anxiety when I would bring my attention to what was happening right here, right now and focus on what I am grateful for in this present moment. Right now, you are in a safe place, checking your phone, and in reality, nothing is harming you except the worry of what could happen in the future.
